Xander Dawson
Xander Dawson (he/him) is a saxophonist, woodwind doubler, composer, and arranger residing in upstate New York. He started to play the saxophone at age ten, and since then, he has studied styles of music ranging from jazz to classical. In addition to the saxophone, he plays the flute, clarinet, piano, and is a vocalist. Throughout high school, Xander has been able to play and gig with local musicians in pit orchestras, bands, and honor ensembles. One of his most recent and notable performances was performing at the New York All-State Music Festival as the principal alto saxophonist. As a woodwind doubler, he has played with theatre companies in the Finger Lakes Region, most notably with the Running to Places Theatre Company and Encore Players Community Theatre. As a senior at Charles O Dickerson, he loves to play with school music ensembles and collaborate with musicians!
